Religious persecution of Christians in Pakistan

Every year thousands of Christians flee their homeland, Pakistan where they are persecuted due to their Christian identity. Approximately 2.6 million Christians form less than 2 percent of total population of Pakistan. Christian minorities are discriminated on daily basis.

Churches are often attacked and burnt. Christians are falsely accused of committing blasphemy which results in being killed at the hands of Muslim mob or indefinite detention in prison. Christian girls and women are abducted, forced to convert to Islam and marry their kidnappers at the gunpoint. According to the “Open Doors” Pakistan is currently 7th most dangerous place on the earth to live as a Christian!
